The Santa Cruz, Big Trees and Pacific Railway (reporting mark SCBG) is a freight and heritage railroad in Northern California. It uses diesel locomotives to haul excursion trains over an 8mile (13km) route between Felton, California and an interchange with the Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay RailroadThe line was built as three foot gauge by the Santa Cruz and Felton RR chartered in August 1874, and opened the following year. The company was acquired by the South Pacific Coast Ry in 1880 which came under SP control by 1885. The road was re-laid as standard gauge in 1908.
